In Kaltura, certain videos (those recorded in Kaltura Capture, and those recorded with certain settings in Zoom) allow for additional interactivity options. In the top right corner of the video player, you'll see arrow and square icons to switch between views of the webcam and screen recording. To record a video in Zoom that will display as interactive video options in Kaltura, the Zoom settings just need to be adjusted a bit. Here's the settings info:
- Visit alaska.zoom.us and log in with SSO
- Navigate to Settings on the left-hand menu
- Select the Recording tab on the top
- Under “Cloud Recording”:
- Ensure “Record active speaker with shared screen” & “Record gallery view with shared screen” are deselected
- Ensure “Record active speaker, gallery view and shared screen separately” and the relevant options within that are selected. You'll want to at least have active speaker and shared screen selected here. Whether or not gallery view is also selected will depend on whether or not you want that included in your particular recording.
