Tracking attendance is one way of keeping track of student engagement in the course. For each class meeting, you can mark whether a student is present, late, absent, or excused. If you have attendance seta as a grade in your course, the attendance records for each student appear in a single column next to other grades. Take a look at this video to see how it works.
